Nothing much going on right now. My Mandarin class is getting to be pretty demanding, so I'm trying to study and try out my speech when I'm getting around.
I've been noticing lamposts, phone booths and trash cans alot. I don't know why they stand out more than other things, but I think they're very cute. In fact, just about everything here is cute and smaller than I'm used to. Smaller portions of food (good), smaller cups of coffee (not good), smaller seats (I can deal with that), smaller rolls of toilet paper (what are they thinking?!) And they only give you one roll at a time in the hotels, too. One thing that is very cool is that trash cans on the street have compartments for regular waste and recyclables.
